No Agenda Breakfast: A Quieter Way to Connect

There’s a fairly standard image that comes to mind when we think about networking.

Evening events. Crowded rooms. Name tags. Quick introductions exchanged between sips of something sparkling.

And for many people, that format works well.

I’ve just learned it’s not where I show up at my best.

I’m a morning person. I think more clearly earlier in the day. By the time most networking events begin, my energy has shifted. I can be present, of course — but not in the way I want to be when I’m meeting someone new and hoping to build something meaningful.

The issue was never networking itself.

I genuinely enjoy thoughtful conversations. I enjoy hearing how other people think, what they’re building, what they care about. What didn’t quite fit was the environment.

That realization is what led me to create No Agenda Breakfast.

No Agenda Breakfast isn’t a traditional networking event. There’s no structured program. No formal introductions. No expectation to exchange business cards or “work the room.”

It’s simply a small table in the morning. Coffee. Breakfast. Conversation.

When the setting feels aligned, something shifts. There’s less performance. Less pressure. More curiosity. More listening. The dialogue unfolds naturally instead of being rushed.

I’ve found that gathering early — before the day fills up with meetings and obligations — creates a different kind of space. People arrive with clearer minds. The pace is slower. The connection feels less transactional and more human.

That’s the intention behind No Agenda Breakfast.

Not volume, but depth.
Not performance, but presence.
Not an agenda, but a conversation.

Sometimes meaningful connection doesn’t require a larger room.

It just requires the right setting.

And for me, that setting has always been a quiet morning around a small table.
